About Us
The vlb Foundation, founded in 2021, is a Faith-based organization to provide resources, support, training, and other services in the greater DFW area of Texas. In January of 2021, Vicky Lynn Barnard was called home to her Lord and Savior, after a 2 year battle taking care of and trying to get help for her brother who was suffering from mental health issues. The brother murdered her at the age of 69. Her battle included interfacing with multiple facilities, doctors/practitioners, using her Power of Medical Attorney to seek information, and even seeking support from a judge to get an involuntary commitment.

She (vlb) never stopped fighting, making calls, and worked her hardest to get help and the system continued day after day to fail her. Our goal is to do our best to try and solve problems, provide resources to those who feel lost, and serve through training and education, as well as provide financial support for those in need. Stay tuned as we continue to refine our approach and services portfolio.
MissionThe vlb Foundation serves to support the mentally ill, families of the mentally ill, and others providing Faith-based mental health to Texas-based DFW residents through advocacy, resources, training, and other services.

VisionThe vlb Foundation seeks to provide services, resources, advocacy, and support for those underserved through traditional mental health facilities who fail to meet the needs of all DFW Texans in need.
